Trampoline net: 7 models and how to choose the right one

To choose a trampoline net, you take three measurements: the frame diameter (8ft, 10ft or 12ft, so 244, 305 or 366 cm), the number of poles (6 or 8) and the height, around 180 cm. The 7 nets compared cover these cases.

By Nicolas Pradier · Updated 18 October 2026

En bref
  • Diameter: measure the frame from one outside edge to the other, 8ft (244 cm), 10ft (305 cm), 12ft (366 cm) or 14ft (427 cm).
  • Poles: a net for 6 poles will not fit a trampoline with 8 poles, and the other way round.
  • Stated height is 180 to 183 cm on the nets chosen: compare it with the length of your poles.
  • A net sold as universal does not remove the need to check the shape of the poles: straight or curved.

Taking the right measurements

If in doubt, the reference of the original net, given in the trampoline's instructions, avoids a mistake over poles or diameter.

Poles, entrance, fixing: compatibility points

A replacement net slides over the trampoline's poles; it does not replace them. Compatibility therefore comes down to details that the net's listing gives, or does not.

PolesThe nets fit the existing poles, numbering 6 or 8Number, straight or curved, diameter
SleevesSleeves sewn into the net to take the poles; NONMON: 171 cm long and 6 cm in diameterThat the pole goes in without forcing and without play

Fitting follows the order described in how to assemble a trampoline: the net goes on after the spring pad and the poles.

Care and replacement

  • Torn mesh or damaged zip: the net no longer marks out the jumping area properly and needs replacing.
  • Out of season: take the net down and store it dry; the frame can be given a trampoline cover.
  • Spring pad and springs: check them at the same time, see springs and mat.
  • Complete kit: the models sold with a net are gathered on the garden trampoline page.
What a net does not do

A net does not make a trampoline risk-free. The maximum weight, the number of jumpers and the presence of an adult stay as set out in the instructions.

Frequently asked questions

How do I choose a trampoline net?

Measure the frame diameter, count the poles (6 or 8), check the shape of the poles and the height, then compare with the compatibility stated on the net's listing.

Which net for a 10ft (305 cm) trampoline?

The Terena, SPRINGOS, NONMON and Cliselda are stated for 305 cm. The number of poles, 6 or 8, is the deciding factor.

Trampoline net for 6 or 8 poles: what is the difference?

The number of poles depends on the diameter and the model. A net for 6 poles does not fit a frame with 8 poles, and the other way round.

Will a universal net fit every brand?

Some listings say so for a given diameter. The shape of the poles and the number of poles still need checking before you order.

What height should a trampoline net be?

The nets chosen measure 180 to 183 cm. This height must match that of the trampoline's poles.

Can a trampoline net be repaired?

A home repair does not restore the original strength. For a net that holds children in next to a frame and springs, replacing it is the cautious choice.

Will a 305 cm net fit a 300 cm trampoline?

The Terena is stated for 300 to 305 cm. For the other nets, stick to the diameter written on the listing or ask the seller.

Should I change the spring pad at the same time as the net?

Not necessarily: a set like the Arebos combines both, but a spring pad in good condition can be kept. Check the foam and the springs each time you replace a net.

What colour of net should I choose?

Colour makes no difference to compatibility. The listings run from black (Terena, SPRINGOS, UNIPRIMEBBQ) to blue (NONMON), with four colours for the Cliselda.
